4. Payments
Online payments are processed securely by the provider selected at checkout, such as Stripe or PayPal. Valletta Glass normally receives a payment confirmation, transaction reference, payment method and limited billing information, but not your complete card number or security code.
6. Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data. We disclose only information reasonably necessary to:
- website hosting, security, maintenance and IT providers;
- payment processors and fraud-prevention providers;
- delivery providers such as DHL or a relevant local delivery provider;
- email, form, analytics and advertising providers where applicable;
- professional advisers and public authorities where legally required.
7. International transfers
Where data is processed outside Malta or the European Economic Area, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision or European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary safeguards.
8. How long we retain data
We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purpose collected and relevant legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
- Orders and tax records: normally at least 6 years; qualifying intra-EU distance-sale records may be retained for 10 years.
- Accounts: while active, followed by deletion or anonymisation unless another lawful reason applies.
- Marketing: until consent is withdrawn or you unsubscribe.
- Logs and analytics: for a limited period based on security need and configured provider settings.
9. Your data-protection rights
Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and challenge qualifying automated decisions.

We use appropriate safeguards including encrypted connections, access controls, software updates, backups and limited staff access. We assess suspected breaches and notify the competent authority and affected individuals where required.

We do not currently make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Security and payment services may use automated fraud signals. With consent, analytics and advertising services may create campaign or audience profiles.
12. Children’s privacy
Our shop is intended for customers who can lawfully enter into a purchase contract. If you believe a child supplied data without required authorisation, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
